About Field Brothers Commercial Properties

Field Brothers Commercial Properties is a family owned and operated commercial real estate firm.  We focus on investment in and development of retail, office buildings and industrial properties.  Our tenants range from local users to national credit tenants.  Because we are a family owned and operated company, each member of our team has a personal interest in the outcome of every transaction no matter how small and are committed to the 100% satisfaction of our tenants.  During our 40+ years in business, we have earned a reputation for being fair, honest and approachable landlords.

The company's first investments were in the early 1970s with the purchase and retrofit of a 52,000 square foot shopping center in Westport, CT and the purchase of a 76,000 square foot shopping center in Wethersfield, CT.  The Wethersfield shopping center remains part of the company's portfolio today and has received recognition from the Wethersfield Historic District and the Wethersfield Economic Commission for its 1998 renovations.


In 1982, the company purchased 2.5 acres of commercial land in Norwalk, CT and partnered the development of a 240,000 square foot office building now known as Merritt View.  The building received the Pride In Norwalk award.


In 1985, Field Brothers developed a 150,000 square foot office building, known as One Norwalk West.  The building received various awards including one for its lobby by a national architectural magazine.  The company retained ownership of the building and managed its day to day operations for seventeen years.


Over the years, the company has been involved in a variety of development and investment projects including retail centers, residential developments, office buildings and industrial locations.  Some sample projects include the development of 109 unit single family homes in Torrington, CT; development of 64 unit mid-rise condominium project in Stamford, CT; development of 24,000 square foot retail center in Norwalk, CT; development of 15,000 square foot Walgreens in Wethersfield, CT; development of Wendy's restaurant in Norwalk, CT; development of 26 acres in Wilton, CT for 28 single family homes; and the purchase and initial development of 182 unit residential condominium and marina in West Haven, CT.

In 2004, the company purchased a vacant 60,000 square foot office building on Merritt Boulevard in Trumbull, CT.  The building was renovated with a new HVAC system, new roof, new lobby and retrofitted to accommodate multiple tenants.  Field Brothers is responsible for leasing, management, tenant improvements and day to day operations.  The company has maintained its office in the building since its acquisition.
